Nadine Plotnikoff

Professional Experience

Nadine has had a long-standing special interest in upper quadrant injuries. While working as the UBC Varsity Physiotherapist early in her career, she completed a Masters’ thesis related to scapular problems and benefited from regular exposure to elite athletes with an “arm and neck” focus in their sport.

A more recent career chapter has been providing current and evidence-based physiotherapy strategies for those living with hip or knee osteoarthritis. She is certified in instructing the GLAD and PEAK Programs and has produced her own website (www.helpingmyarthritis.ca) to be a source of information and encouragement for those in the OA community.

The ability to stay physically active is so critical in the prevention and management of many diseases and illnesses. She takes pride in the role that physiotherapy plays in keeping people moving and enjoys her day-to-day practice for the unique needs and challenges that each patient brings to her.

Personal Interests

A former competitive volleyball player herself, she hopes to find her way back onto the court some day. In the meantime, she’ll continue to explore our amazing BC mountains and shorelines and dream of where the next stamp in her passport will come from.
